The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigational system gives you greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, though it does have a tendency to get caught up on rug tassels. Its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot with voice commands.
During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to remove the majority of hair on floors that were not bare and a decent amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective on shag carpet, where it struggled to get at dirt and dust buried in the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of chairs, small spaces as well as the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on bare floors however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin, lasts longer on a charge, and does a better job of moving itself over obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky debris. The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to set up the robot to automatically adjust suction strength based upon the floor type and the amount of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you want it to move.
If you don't have a lot of furniture in the area you want to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will take 30 minutes cleaning the area that it is assigned to.
